"SONG FOR A WINTER'S NIGHT"

DCG recorded the single in L.A. with fellow Canadian, Vincent Leslie Jones, who also played on and produced the track with them. About Domestic Crisis Group :
Domestic Crisis Group, Dane Ratliff (guitar) and Gen Blouin (vocals), have been getting rave reviews for their self-produced and released debut EP, Two Tired Hearts, and their live shows. DCG recently won a spot as a Finalist in an EMI Music competition (MOA Community). Their song "the Distance" is in rotation on CBC Radio 3, and their EP has charted on campus radio stations across Canada.

DCG's songs take a modern view of social problems through old-school songwriting, catchy riffs, and a style that's been dubbed "melancountry". Blouin's voice has been compared to Lucinda Williams and Suzanne Vega, and Ratliff's classically influenced fingerpicking style to Chet Atkins. DCG plans to release a new EP in late 2011.

DCG in the Press :

"The duo crafts absolutely beautiful music. Blouin's vocals are clean, elegant, and inviting. Meanwhile, Ratliff's guitar work is as much a product of his Texas background as it is lazy '90's acoustic college rock. They'll convince you to lean back and relax just a moment before shaking you awake with how greatly they pull everything together."
Ben Conoley - Canadian Musician Magazine

"Two Tired Hearts is a fantastic, fresh record that deserves a place on more than a few end of year top 10 lists. 9/10"
Peter Kearns - TO Snob's Music
